Service Agreement for In‑Store Repairs

1. Agreement Overview
This Service Agreement (“Agreement”) sets out the terms under which Earlsfield Computer Services (“we”, “our”, “us”) will diagnose, repair, or service your device (“you”, “your”).
By leaving your device with us, you agree to the terms below.
2. Device Check‑In
When you hand in your device, we will record:

Device make, model and serial number

Reported fault(s)
-
Accessories left with the device (chargers, cases, etc.)

Physical condition at the time of check‑in
We are not responsible for accessories not listed on the check‑in form.
3. Diagnostics

Diagnostics may be free or chargeable, depending on the issue.

If you decline the repair after diagnostics, a diagnostic fee may apply.

Some faults may only become visible after opening the device.

Timeframes given are estimates, not guarantees.
4. Data Responsibility

You are responsible for backing up your data before leaving the device with us.

We do not guarantee the safety of data during repairs.

We are not liable for data loss, corruption, or software issues that occur during or after repair.

Data recovery services are performed at your own risk.
5. Repairs & Parts
5.1 Parts Used
We may use:

New parts
-
Refurbished parts
-
OEM‑equivalent parts
You will be informed of the type of part used.
5.2 Repair Process

Some repairs require opening the device, which may void manufacturer warranties.

Additional faults may be discovered during repair; we will contact you before proceeding.

Liquid‑damaged devices are repaired with no guarantee, as faults may return.
6. Warranty
6.1 Warranty Coverage
Repairs typically include a 12 month warranty, depending on the part. Warranty covers the specific repair only.
6.2 Warranty Exclusions
Warranty does not cover:

Physical damage after repair

Liquid damage
-
Software issues
-
Faults unrelated to the original repair

Devices opened or tampered with by another party
7. Payments

Payment is due upon collection of the device.

We accept cash, card, and bank transfer.

Devices will not be released until payment is made in full.
8. Uncollected Devices
Devices not collected within 60 days of repair completion will be considered abandoned. We reserve the right to recycle, sell, or dispose of the device to recover costs.
9. Liability
We are not liable for:

Pre‑existing faults

Hidden damage discovered during repair

Data loss
-
Software corruption
-
Damage caused by third‑party repairs

Accessories not listed on the check‑in form
Our total liability will not exceed the value of the service fee paid.
10. Customer Contact
You agree that we may contact you via phone, SMS, WhatsApp, or email regarding your repair.
If we cannot reach you after multiple attempts, the 60‑day abandonment period still applies.
11. Cancellations
You may cancel a repair before work begins. If parts have already been ordered, a restocking fee may apply.
12. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
